Anonymity

The study director is well aware of the fact, that the evaluation will assess a series of highly delicate information about individual pilots. Due to this fact, the anonymization is guaranteed using the following tools.

Only the study director has access to the raw data of the evaluation - he is subject to medical confidentiality!

All data are stored on servers using the European standards of data protection and latest encryption technologies. The high levels of data protections and security rules of the University of Cologne apply.

In the evaluation, individual group characteristics are compared with the results of the depression screening and the questions on physical health. The group characteristics and sizes are selected in such a way that it is impossible to assign them to individual, smaller groups or persons.
